Helpline numbers that work in Gujarat

Nineteen numbers, each checked against an official government source. Where we could not verify a number from the department that runs it, we left it out — a wrong number in an emergency is worse than no number.

112 If you are not sure which number to call, call 112. It is the one line that is live 24 hours a day across Gujarat and routes to police, ambulance, fire, and the women, child and railway desks. Several of the specialist numbers below do not run at night — 112 always does.
Police / unified emergency

Women and children can use the app's SHOUT feature to alert nearby registered volunteers. 1098, 181 and 139 are integrated with 112.

Dialling 112 also works for a child emergency. Also the route for reporting child labour, child marriage and child trafficking.
