What Scapex Foundation collects through this website, why, how long it is kept, and how to ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Effective 17 September 2026.
Who we are
Scapex Foundation is a company registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 (CIN U85500GJ2025NPL166916), with its registered office at 830, 8th Floor, Sun Gravitas, Times of India Road, Shyamal, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380015. For anything in this policy, write to info@scapexfoundation.com or call +91 99255 22674.
What we collect, and why
Enquiry form. When you use the contact form we receive the name, email address, organisation and phone number (if you give them), the topic you chose and your message. We use these only to reply to you and, if you are enquiring about a partnership or donation, to carry on that conversation. Submissions are stored on our hosting account in India and, where the mail system is working, forwarded to our inbox. We keep enquiries for up to 24 months unless a partnership or donation relationship follows, in which case the record is kept with that relationship's documents.
Donations. When you donate we need your name, address, PAN (for donations that require it under the Income Tax Act) and the amount, because the law requires us to issue a receipt, file the annual statement of donations (Form 10BD) and issue your certificate (Form 10BE). These records are kept for the period the Income Tax Act requires, which is at least eight years.
Server logs. Our hosting provider records the IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of each request in ordinary server logs, which are used for security and to keep the site running. These logs are retained by the provider for a limited period under its own policy.
Analytics and cookies. This website uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people read, so that we can improve the site. It sets cookies in your browser that hold a randomly generated identifier, and it sends Google the pages you view, the approximate location derived from your IP address, and basic details of your device and browser. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store your IP address. We use this only in aggregate and never to identify you personally, and we do not use it for advertising. Google keeps the data for 14 months. You can opt out for every site by installing Google's opt-out add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser. Blocking it changes nothing about how the site works for you.
Fonts. Type on this site is loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files from Google's servers and Google receives your IP address in the process, under Google's privacy policy.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not share it with anyone except our statutory auditor, the Income Tax Department where the law requires it, and service providers (hosting, email) who process it on our instructions. We do not send marketing email to anyone who has not asked for it, and every email we send includes a way to stop receiving it.
Your rights
You may ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where the law does not require us to keep it. We answer such requests within 30 days. India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives you these rights in law; we honour them regardless of when its rules come into force. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first and we will try to put it right; you may also approach the Data Protection Board of India once it is operational.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through it. Information about children who take part in our programmes is collected offline, with a parent's or guardian's consent, and handled under our child safeguarding policy.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published here with a new effective date. We will not apply a change retrospectively in a way that reduces your rights over information we already hold.
